ESC Engineering were engaged by the ECI Builder, Built, to carry out the design and documentation of the Heritage Living Stage 1BC Aged Care facility in Cottesloe.
The complex with a construction value of approximately $50M consisted of commercial premises, 70+ aged care residential units, basement car parking and a heritage building refurbishment.
An impressive area of landscaped gardens and facilities connected the new facility to Stage 1 of the overall project.
ESC Engineering documented all electrical services in Revit which included, lighting, fire detection, ICT equipment, power distribution and security systems.
A fully coordinated model was completed as part of the ECI 80% Building Permit set.
ESC Engineering were then novated to the D&C Contractor to complete the design to 100% and ensure the as constructed model captured all site modifications.
The in-house BIM team at ESC Engineering managed the clash detection process with ease to ensure electrical elements such as cable trays, lighting fixtures and switchboards were located to avoid on site clashes and ensure a smooth build with minimal issues during construction.
