ESC Engineering were engaged by Wesley College to complete the design of the electrical services for their new Science Building.

The design brief for the project was an interactive learning environment that aided the teaching staff and students to understand how a building worked.

ESC Engineering proposed several innovative solutions for the building including transparent cable containment system, exposed cable tray and containment, display communications cabinets and some fun with external finishes on the project switchboards.

The lighting within the building was designed to showcase a range of lighting options that could be achieved for the students to see and learn from, while also providing uniformed and low glare lighting solutions.

Lighting fixtures in the building were designed and installed to be hidden and to be a showpiece in certain areas, lighting facets used were; recessed, surface, pendant, wall washing, down light, up light, colour changing, colour mixing, indirect and direct.

The overall lighting of the space complements the architecture and services of the project.
